DEADMAN started in 1999 by Steven Collins as avenue to explore his songwriting. Having changed from a 4 person format to a duo to a 6 piece band, the sound and message of Collins' songs remain the same. Hope, mercy, and themes of life and death are staples of the DEADMAN catalog which includes 4 albums over ten years, "Paramour" (2001), "Our Eternal Ghosts" (2004), "Severe Mercy" (2008), "Live At The Saxon Pub" (2010) and "Take Up Your Mat and Walk" (2011). The DEADMAN band consists of Steven Collins on vocal and guitar joined by a host of seasoned Austin musical veterans: Jacob Hildebrand on electric guitar and backing vocal, Kevin McCollough on acoustic guitar and backing vocal, Matthew Mollica on hammond B3 organ and accordion, Kyle Schneider on drums, and Lonnie Trevino Jr on bass.

Crooks are an Austin four-piece consisting of frontman Josh Mazour, drummer Rob Bacak, stand-up bassist Andrew VanVoorhees, and multi-instrumentalist Sam Albert, who alternates between guitar, banjo, mandolin, and trumpet. In the last few months, this outlaw quartet with classic country leanings has been featured on MTV’s new website "The Hive," where they were called a “Must-See Austin band,” and had an mp3 featured as the song of the day on both AOL Spinner and NPR affiliate WXPN’s website in Philadelphia. They’ve also received awesome reviews from the Austin Chronicle, the Austin American Statesman, and The Onion AV Club, and have been featured on tastemaker sites such as My Old Kentucky Blog and Daytrotter. Crooks released their debut EP Lonesome, Rowdy and Restless in 2010, and are recording a full-length this summer with producer Danny Reisch, who recently won “Producer of the Year” at this year’s Austin Music Awards.
