- In 2011 Quiet Company spent the majority of their time writing & recording their most ambitious & thought provoking album to date, "We Are All Where We Belong." In late summer they were approached by Grooveshark & signed to their new Artist Development program. Since July 1st, Quiet Company has garnered a global audience, thanks to their partnership with Grooveshark. Quiet Company's Facebook fans jumped from 2,800 in July to over 50,000 by February & their video for "Fear & Fallacy, Sitting in a Tree" reached over 100,000 plays in under 3 months. Quiet Company is averaging well over 50,000 song plays a day on Grooveshark alone all across the globe.
In October, Quiet Company released their new album, "We Are All Where We Belong" which received the best reviews & response the band has earned to date. They were invited to play Deluna Fest in Florida as well as CMJ in New York.
Quiet Company was chosen as a Deluna Fest Spotlight Artist and was featured on an episode of Last Call with Carson Daly.
Quiet Company will start 2012 by releasing a video & single for "You, Me & the Boatman" in February and continue to play shows regionally as they build momentum for their SXSW 2012 appearance. Formed in early 2011, The Reynolds Number is an Austin based quintet that has discovered a very unique blend of melodic rock and roll. Since their conception, the band has toured around Texas in support of their upcoming EP, set to be released in November of 2011. With Josh Atkins and Chris Soltani on guitars, Gabriel Elpers on bass, and Om Shankar on keys/vocals, the band has crafted its niche in the Austin music scene by using choral guitar harmonies, thumping bass, intricate percussion, and powerful vocal melodies to captivate the crowd. Their upcoming record, "For November", is a seven track CD that truly shows the bands diverse musical influences, and its true soul, telling a story of a man simply trying to find his way again. With the record being on the brink of release, The Reynolds Number simply hopes that those listening will find some inspiration in their words and melodies.
